Welcome to Time Travelling:
opening doors of faith to generations.

Time Travelling is a pilgrimage event for children which is run in association with Southwell Minster and the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.  Since it began in 1995, well over 85,000 children have taken part.

It is open to pupils who attend primary school in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, which includes all Nottinghamshire County and City primary schools. The focus of the experience is a pilgrimage day full of awe and wonder at the beautiful Minster, where children have the chance to worship and explore through a variety of activities.  We also produce a range of classroom materials and resources for teachers and activites for children to help with preparation and follow up work. The Time Travelling package supports the teaching and learning of RE as laid down in the Nottinghamshire agreed syllabus for RE and QCA.

What the children say...

"It was my best school trip ever. I enjoyed everything, I thought it was all very exciting and fun. I loved the singing and the activities!"

What we say...

"The lasting success of Time Travelling! for Nottinghamshire primary schools lies in the enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge of our volunteer and staff team and our commitment to providing a quality educational experience through a variety of fun activities."
