Home Pilgrimages Children Teachers Volunteers About Us
Volunteers

Time Travelling owes its success to the wonderful 300 strong team of volunteers, who travel from the furthest reaches of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and from as far afield as Manchester.  The commitment of the team is astonishing, and between them they host and lead activities for 8000 primary school children every year.

People join our team for many reasons and with many skills, but all have a love for children and a vision to see them enjoying the stunning Minster and learning about the Christian faith.

Roles for volunteers include acting as Pilgrim Guides, leading activities (drama, craft, communion, baptism, prayer and storytelling to name but a few), or providing practical help with fetching, carrying, shopping and resource preparation.

All team members are CRB checked and give a reference from their church leaders.  Training opportunities and social events are offered during the year and volunteers are kept up to date by receiving our newsletters three times a year.
